Steel Structure (Frame & Connections) — 10-Year Structural Warranty
The steel structure of your Toughcover shelter is covered for 10 years against manufacturing defects, when used and installed correctly.
This includes:
● Galvanised steel frame components
● Structural brackets and connections
● Overall structural integrity when installed as per instructions
Galvanised steel offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability in normal operating conditions, making this a reliable long-term structural warranty.
PVC Fabric Cover — Pro-Rata Warranty
Fabric covers naturally wear over time due to UV exposure, weather and site conditions. If a fabric cover fails due to a manufacturing defect, Toughcover will provide a pro-rata credit toward a replacement cover, based on the length of service.
The credit is calculated against the current RRP of the replacement fabric at the time of the claim.
End Wall & Accessory Coverage
Toughcover End Walls, Half Panels, and Door Kits are covered by a 2-Year Full Component Warranty. This covers both the galvanised steel framework and the 610gsm PVC fabric against manufacturing defects under normal site conditions.
Year of Service | Coverage Level |
Year 1 | 100% replacement value |
Year 2 | 80% Credit |
Year 3 | 60% Credit |
Year 4-5 | 40% Credit |
Year 6-7 | 20% Credit |
Year 8-10 | 10% Credit |
Notes:
● Coverage applies to the fabric only
● Freight, installation and removal costs are not included
To receive the full Warranty, activation is required.
Activation Requirements:
● Warranty registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase
● Installation must follow Toughcover installation guidelines
● Installation photos must be submitted for review
If activation is not completed within 30 days, the warranty defaults to the 1-year statutory warranty only.
Installation Photo Verification
After installation, please submit at least 12 clear photos, including:
● Overall shelter (front, rear, both sides)
● Base clamp connections on containers
● Fabric tension and roof alignment
● Internal frame connections

For End Wall/Panel Activation: In addition to shelter photos, you must provide clear images showing the tensioning of the end wall fabric and the securement of all Slanting Support tubes.
Warranty activation is confirmed once these photos are reviewed and approved by the Toughcover technical team.
This process helps ensure the shelter is installed correctly and protects both parties.
As with all structural warranties, coverage depends on proper use and site conditions.
The following are not covered:
Improper Tensioning
Damage caused by loose fabric, water pooling or abrasion due to insufficient or poorly maintained tensioning.
Routine inspection and re-tensioning are the owner’s responsibility.
Wind Loads Beyond Design Rating
If a shelter designed for Wind Region A is installed in higher wind regions (such as cyclone-prone areas), or exposed to loads beyond its design limits, warranty coverage does not apply.
Site suitability must be confirmed before installation.
Accidental or Human-Caused Damage
Including:
● Mechanical punctures or abrasion
● Contact with sharp objects
● Exposure to chemicals, oils or corrosive substances
● Improper cleaning, including high-pressure washing
Coastal & Saltwater Exposure
For installations within 10 km of saltwater, corrosion-related warranty coverage may be reduced due to accelerated environmental exposure.
Freight & Labour & Costs
Warranty claims cover replacement parts only.
Freight, installation, dismantling and labour costs are the responsibility of the owner.
This warranty is backed by Toughcover Pacific Pty Ltd, an Australian-registered company with local support.
All claims are assessed by our technical team based on:
● Installation records
● Submitted photos
● Design parameters
● Actual usage conditions
Crucial Storm Safety Tip:
If your shelter is fitted with a solid End Wall, always ensure the front Door Panel and all windows are fully closed and secured during high-wind events. Leaving the front door open creates a "parachute effect," where internal wind pressure can lead to structural failure of the back panel and roof fabric. Damage caused by failure to secure doors during storms is not covered under warranty.
A good warranty isn’t about big promises.
It’s about clear expectations, proper installation, and materials designed to perform over time.
