Product Introduction

1. Built for the Wide End of a 12-Metre Span

Sealing the end of a 12-metre wide shelter isn't the same as sealing a 6-metre or 8-metre one. The wider the span, the more surface area the wind has to push against — and the more the frame needs to work to stay rigid.

The Toughcover 12m Half Panel is purpose-built for the TS1206(3m) and TS1212(3m) series. It covers the upper half of the end opening, leaving the lower section open for ground-level access, forklift entry, and airflow. When you need the top sealed but the bottom clear, this is the panel for the job.

2. What's In the Kit

✔ 60mm x 1.5mm Hot-Dip Galvanised Steel Frame  Hot-dip galvanised for rust resistance in outdoor and coastal environments.

✔ Dual Horizontal Crossbars  A standard single-bar panel would flex under the wind load of a 12-metre span. This panel uses two horizontal crossbars to keep the frame rigid and the PVC cover properly tensioned — no bowing, no flapping.

✔ Triple Slanting Braces  Three diagonal support tubes lock the frame against racking forces — the sideways pressure that puts the most stress on a wide end panel in gusty conditions.

✔ 3 Vertical Legs  Structural legs distribute the load evenly across the full width of the frame.

✔ 610gsm White PVC Cover  UV-stabilised, fire-retardant, and 100% waterproof. White is stocked as standard — it reflects heat and outperforms darker covers in Australian sun conditions.

✔ 2-Year Frame & Fabric Warranty

6. FAQs

Q: What does "half panel" mean — which half is covered?  A: The upper half is enclosed with PVC fabric, and the lower half remains open. This gives you weather protection at the top while keeping ground-level access clear for forklifts, pallets, and foot traffic.

Q: Why does this panel have two horizontal crossbars instead of one?  A: At 12 metres wide, a single crossbar isn't enough to keep the frame rigid under wind load. The dual-bar system prevents the steel from flexing and keeps the PVC cover properly tensioned across the full span.

Q: Does it fit High Cube containers?  A: Yes. The panel is designed to match the arch profile of both the TS1206(3m) and TS1212(3m), whether they're mounted on standard GP or High Cube 40ft/20ft containers.

Q: Do I need to secure the front during storms if I'm using a half panel at the back?  A: Yes — if your shelter has an open front and a half panel at the back, strong winds can create internal pressure buildup. Always secure your front end wall or door during high-wind events to prevent structural stress on the frame.

Q: Is this panel DIY-friendly?  A: Yes. Everything bolts together with standard spanners — no welding required. If you'd prefer a professional installation, we offer on-site installation within Victoria. Contact us for a quote.

Q: Can I add a full end wall later if I change my mind?  A: Yes. The full end wall and roller door options use the same mounting system, so you can swap or upgrade at any time without modifying the main shelter frame.
